Dear Reader,
So I kind of procrastinated writing this post because week 10 was not really one for the books. But, I’ve got to follow through with this project so here’s my review of week 10:
It started in the worst way possible. Thursday morning I got up and had a banana, a granola bar, and a questionable chicken salad sandwich. I went to my classes, POTH practice, and a serenade at the arch, but I was feeling kind of funny the entire time.
By the time I got to Brandon Hall, I knew I was going to throw up. I was actually in some much discomfort that I actually took my toothbrush into the bathroom and was ready to induce it myself. Luckily, it didn’t have to come to that.
But I did spend the night in the communal bathroom (sleeping on the floor in between these episodes) and scare some people who thought I was passed out from alcohol poisoning or something.
Eventually it all came to an end and I slept away the remainder of my Friday (meaning I had to miss Big/Little Reveal). Even the rest of the weekend turned out to be not that productive because I still felt queasy a lot. And I’m still not sure if this was food poisoning or just a stomach virus, but I sure won’t be eating chicken salad sandwiches for a while.
I also went to the hockey game on Saturday which was fun because we won! And my friend got to ride the zamboni.
And on Sunday I signed a lease on a house for junior year! I’m in love with everything about the house, and I’m so excited to live with the seven other girls that signed with me! It all just seems so far away right now–it’s weird to think of myself as a 20-year-old college student.
Finally, the last highlight of my week was POTH. This is a dance competition that raises money for a school for the deaf, and each sorority and fraternity makes a dance and competes. Only the pledge classes can participate, so it was a lot of fun to be a part of it for the one year I could and, even though we didn’t win, it was a blast to learn choreography and perform, seeing as I had never done anything like that before.
So that was my week. Maybe Week 11 will be a bit more memorable.
Sincerely,
Sammy
PS: Sorry for the lack of pictures. WordPress won’t let me upload any and it’s too annoying for me to try and figure out. But don’t worry, you’re not missing much.
